That youtube link is a spy

I’m sure many of you, if not all, have type in the following:

http://www.youtube.com

Now after typing that for a few couple dozen times, it becomes a habit and that we no longer pay very close attention to what we type until, all of a sudden, we’re redirected to this link:

hxxp://www.infoweb.net/l/youtube.php

Some people claimed that if they got to this website when they typed http://www.youtube.com. (<– notice the period after com), but when I did that, it took me to youtube.com.  But if I typed youtube.com.net, load and behold, it took me to that infoweb link above.

Basically, the morale of this story is to be careful on what you type.  It’s pretty much the same thing as the google.com and goggle.com incident a while back.   Although I haven’t had anything malicious happen to me after I stumbled across the website, I still don’t recommend visiting it.
